Reese and Jake’s Double Date

When you are a budding power couple, what is the next step in your romantic domination? A double date with an equally powerful couple! Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal broke from tradition and dined at celebrity enclave Giorgio Baldi on Tuesday night with none other than fellow media-shy duo Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin.

While Paltrow and Martin somehow eluded the waiting photographers, Witherspoon and Gyllenhaal weren’t as lucky, looking distraught as they tried to duck away from the flashbulbs.

So how did this dinner date come about? Paltrow and Gyllenhall played lovers in the film-adaptation of the play Proof. The three actors also spent Thanksgiving weekend together last year while Gyllenhaal was in London filming.
