Redmond O' Neal will find himself in a familiar position -- facing a judge -- when he is arraigned  Friday morning at the Santa Clarita Courthouse on a felony drug possession charge.

During today's hearing, Remond is expected to enter a plea.

The  felony drug possession charge stems from his April 5 arrest on suspicion of bringing heroin onto the grounds of a Los Angeles area jail facility where a friend of his was in custody.

The redheaded, freckle-faced son of 70's Hollywood royalty Ryan O' Neal and Farrah Fawcett caught a break last week when LA Superior Court Judge Scott Millington transferred two of his outstanding felony drug cases to a court that could send him to a rehab as punishment.

He told Millington that he wouldn't blow this chance, as he is motivated by his mother's tough bout with anal cancer to stay clean. He said that her weight had plummeted to an emaciated 86 pounds, though her doctor, Dr. Lawrence Piro,  said this week that she weighed about 101 pounds.

The judge hearing Friday's case could consolidate the charge with two previously-mentioned ones, or impose a different sentence, Millington told him.
