Mother Seeks Custody Of Young Slumdog Star

Khursheed Ali, the birth mother of Slumdog Millionaire child star Rubina Ali, said she will do "whatever it takes" to win custody of her daughter.
The vow comes just a week after a controversy in which Ali's father and legal custodian, Rafiq Qureshi, was implicated and subsequently cleared of accusations he sought to sell his 9-year-old daughter for $300,000 on the black market.
"I left Rafiq five years ago... but I took the children with me," the star's mother told the News Of The World. "It was poverty that forced me to let them go back to him a year later. But we stayed in touch." (Photo: WENN)
