Lindsay's Dad "Relieved" By Ronson Split; Calls Relationship "Toxic"

Michael Lohan has never held his tongue when it comes to his daughter Lindsay's rocky relationship with deejay Samantha Ronson, and now that they've split, Lohan says he's glad it's over.

Lohan admitted that he was "relieved" when he heard that the couple had split up, branding their relationship "toxic", according to digitalspy.com.

"I've always believed that what Samantha has done -- just dragging Lindsay around just to enhance her career -- is wrong," said Michael. "It's pretty evident now.

"So let's see where Samantha's career goes when Lindsay's not around now. It's cost Lindsay her emotions and her well-being."

Lohan also encouraged Lindsay to move on with her life, and says he hopes to rebuild a father/daughter relationship with her.

"I hope Lindsay can move on. I know Lindsay's upset over this, but it's an opportunity for her to get on with her life and pursue her career and the goals she should've been pursuing all along." (Photo: Zuma / WENN)
