Katy Perry Says She Didn't Reach Out To Rihanna

Katy Perry said recent media reports, casting her as Rihanna's shoulder to cry on since the fallout from the Barbadian beauty's Feb. 8 altercation involving Chris Brown, have been severely exaggerated.
"I don't think I really, like, reached out to her," Perry told MTV News Thursday. "I pride myself on having cool chicks in my life, and she's a cool chick. We've hung out a couple times. Of course I consider her a friend, but it's not like 'I'm there,' making a big deal of it, because I feel weird about that type of stuff."

The 24-year-old said that her friendship with the fellow pop princess is built on the common bond they share taking a "crazy roller coaster" ride of fast fame in their respective careers.
The California-born cutie proved she doesn't run hot and cold in her friendships, as she remained mum when asked about how Rihanna is doing these days.
