Jade Goody Funeral Draws Thousands

The sad real-life drama of reality star Jade Goody came to a close
Saturday with her funeral in Essex.
The 27-year-old drew international attention with her losing battle
against cervical cancer. Even British prime minister Gordon Brown paid
tribute to her.
The Big Brother star married her boyfriend Jack Tweed in February after
announcing that doctors said she had only weeks to live. Saturday, he
fought back tears during a final farewell.

Her funeral service was held at St John the Baptist Church in Buckhurst
Hill. Thousands of people lined the streets to view the procession with
family and close friends walking behind her coffin for the final few
hundred yards to the church. Inside 350 invited guests attended the
service.
Jade died on mother's day, leaving behind two sons. Her funeral Saturday
re-triggered an outpouring of sentiment for the beloved figure.
