IDOL: Jaime Foxx Helps Danny Gokey "Shine"

Jaime Foxx is an Oscar-winning actor, a Grammy-winning vocalist, and comedian who could sell out just about every arena in the country.

A showbiz hopeful could certainly learn a thing or two from the guy.

And the final five American Idol contestants had the chance to do just that this week, as the 41-year-old entertainer extraordinaire played guest mentor for Rat Pack week.  Foxx, like the members of the iconic entertainment faction, has succeeded in every medium he takes on.

Working with Idol hopeful Danny Gokey, The Soloist star got face to face with the likeable everyman in hopes of getting the most out of his performance of "Come Rain Or Come Shine."

It worked, as Gokey's song garnered high praise from the judges. Randy Jackson said Gokey could make an album in the genre, while Simon Cowell and Kara DioGuardi said he showed a swagger and confidence he was missing before -- wonder where he got that from.

See if Foxx's mojo helped Gokey make it to the final four on Wednesday's elimination show, which airs at 9/8c on Fox.
