'Grey' Cloud Over Barrymore's Emmy Chances

Much like the the real life mother/daughter turbulence their HBO movie covers, could Drew Barrymore's Emmy chances be squashed by her fictional matriarch Jessica Lange?
The two actresses, both well received for their performances in Grey Gardens (the story of Jackie Kennedy's eccentric East Hampton relatives) are reportedly at war for a shot at a Best Actress trophy.
As Emmy Award nominations loom, HBO is rumored to be endorsing Drew for the big win. Two-time Oscar winning Lange, however, begs to differ.
The Broken Flowers actress will allegedly not budge and submit herself to the Best Supporting Actress category, putting her in direct competition with Barrymore.
HBOs biggest gamble? The ladies will cancel one another out. Gardens was one of the top five most-watched movies in the cable network's history, premiering last Saturday to 1.8 million viewers.
The Television Academy of Arts & Sciences (that hands out the coveted Emmmy) will announce their nominees on July 16.
