Tall, blonde, and on a hit show, Blake Lively may seem like the typical ingénue but as soon as she opens her mouth, it’s clear this newcomer isn’t as naïve as she may look. The Gossip Girl star opened up to a fashion glossy to discuss her media strategy when it comes to relationships and why she never wears pink.
"You see people who will open up their relationships, who are very affectionate on the red carpet or are doing a reality show with each other, and their relationship just seems to crumble," the actress told Allure. "So I decided to keep a vow of silence." Lively and co-star Penn Badgley have stuck to that goal, consistently veering away from relationship questions and often going to pains to not be spotted together publicly.

Lively’s strategic decisions also zero in on another unsuspecting culprit: the color pink: “I'm blonde, and I have a small dog she owns a Maltipoo named Penny, so I try to avoid looking like a piece of bubble gum as much as possible."
