Weekend Party Roundup: Anne’s Puppet Play, Lindsay’s Dance Spree

When you are two of Hollywood’s most high-profile actresses, a simple night out at a random bar will just not do. Over the weekend, both Anne Hathaway and Lindsay Lohan popped up at two of Hollywood’s hottest spots for a little fun after dark.
Saturday night, Hathaway and some friends showed up to “Puppet Up” at Avalon in Hollywood. The uncensored show of Jim Henson puppets isn’t your average children’s entertainment with improvisational skits often crass, dirty, and definitely for adults only. “She was in a really great mood, friendly, very polite and getting a kick out of the show,” says a source. The actress, dressed in a casual black sweater and black pants, did keep her beverage of choice G-rated though, sipping on cranberry juice (minus the vodka). “She was all smiles and laughter!”

The night before, legendary Stevie Wonder made a late night (3 am!) cameo at the club with his daughter and some band members in tow. “He ended up playing percussion along to the background music,” says a source. “He was kind to his fans and even posed in pictures for some of them.” The singer left at 6 am.
Also making it a late night, Lindsay Lohan stopped in to Bardot to watch musician Sam Sparro perform. “She skirted in after midnight and sat front and cinder in the middle booth on the patio,” says an onlooker. “She sang along and was smiling from ear to ear.” At one point, Lohan turned to a friend and squealed “I love him!” Though she wasn’t drinking, Lohan “was in a terrific, social mood”, dancing in her booth for the rest of the night to hits like JailHouse Rock.
