Twilights' Pattinson Joins Potter, Batman On Lofty List

When your latest DVD is celebrated by midnight release parties -- and joins company like Harry Potter, Batman, the Transformers and Disney's Pirates in its first week -- its safe to say you've made it.
Congrats Robert Pattinson, you're the man of the hour and knocking on that A-list door.
Pop Culture review of the Twilight DVD
More than 3 million copies of the English heartthrob's romantic vampire vehicle, Twilight, were sold in its first day of commercial release Saturday, according Summit Entertainment. The early success places the flick among the top five of first-day DVD releases in the past two years; also rounding out that list include Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, The Dark Night, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and Transformers.
The release parties, according to the studio. were highlighted by cameo appearances by cast members such as Rachelle Lefevre, Ashley Greene, Catherine Hardwicke, Edi Gathegi and Nikki Reed.
