Talk about a Super Group….White Stripes Jack White has formed a second side band called The Dead Weather.

Singer with The Kills, Alison Mosshart, also plays drums in the new project. The lineup includes Jack Lawrence, the bass player with White's other pet project, the Raconteurs, and Queens of the Stoneage guitarist Dean Fertita.

A lucky bunch got to hear a few of the new tunes when White and band played at the opening of Jack White’s new Nashville office. Its debut album, "Horehound," is due June 9 on White's Third Man Records imprint, but two of the songs are available now on iTunes: "Hang You From The Heavens" and a cover of Gary Numan's "Are Friends Electric?"
