Set to return for the finale of 90210,  the low key and naturally hip Shannen Doherty talks 90210 style and her personal fashion philosophy during an interview with RadarOnline.com at the launch of Naturally Victoria Secret's Beauty.

The original Beverly Hills 90210 was nearly every teens favorite show of the time and also proved to be fashion forward, setting the trends for style and what was "hot" or "not."  On and off screen, as the star of the show, Doherty was in the center of the trend setting mix, so to say.  She laughs as she recalls the "Levis that came up past the belly buttons that were horrendous and when Brenda and Donna went through a heavy grunge period channeling Nirvana."  Funny, indeed, but Doherty also notes that it was "what that era was going through at that time as far as fashion goes." Scary to remember, but oh so true!

To boost ratings or quite possibly because 90210 without Shannen is like a good outfit without the star accessory to make it fabulous, Shannen is returning for the season finale. With the new 90210 lacking the cutting-edge style luster of the original series, we wanted to get Shannon's take on Gossip Girl owning the slot as the in-the-know, teen fashion drama of the era.  Speaking frankly and with solid insight, Shannen tells us, "I think 90210 is more accessible fashion, Gossip Girl is more cutting edge."  So true, then  and now fans can afford the styles of the 90210 hotties, but unless you are a New York princess it is nearly impossible to afford the $12000 John Galliano jacket Serena wore on Gossip Girl.

Having spent most of her adult life in the public spotlight and in the line of fashion critic's scrutiny, Doherty maintains a level headedness about fashion and how she picks her duds.  She could have some good lessons for the teen starlets of today, ahem, Miss Lohan!  "I have my own style, it is simply what looks good on me. I don't get dressed to impress anyone."

Doherty opens up, "it is all about how I feel in my clothes and what I think I look like." She believes that going for what is trendy at the time is "the biggest mistake people make."  Looking fantastic in a swanky vest, Citizens Of  Humanity skinny jeans and Brian Atwood boots, Miss Doherty was true to her statement as she didn't even know, off hand, where her faboo vest was from. It was truly refreshing to see that a lady in the middle of Hollywood and glamour is a girl of style, rather than a girl of labels!

Having a natural ease about her and owning her look, it was only appropriate that Shannen was on hand for the launch of Victoria's Secret's new natural bath and body collection.  Her favorite scent in the line is the Honeysuckle & White Patchouli.  Natural products and natural fashion choices are Shannon's style m.o. So natural, in fact, that when asked for her photograph she told our Fashion Editor to jump in. That was naturally endearing!
