Meet the updated Moe, Larry and Curly -- or as you better know them, Benicio Del Toro, Sean Penn and Jim Carrey.
Plans are well underway, Variety Magazine reported, to cast that A-list trio in those respective roles for MGM's updated The Three Stooges feature that will be written and partially produced by comedy film kingpins Peter and Bobby Farrelly.
Penn is already confirmed for the project and will begin after he is finished shooting Universal's Cartel, according to the magazine. Del Toro is reportedly coveted by the Farrellys to man the Moe role.

Carrey, still in negotiations, plans on gaining 40 pounds to play Jerome "Curly" Howard. While his dedication to the part is admirable, the extra 40 pounds would not be a Hollywood record: Vincent D'Onofrio, according to IMDB, gained 70 pounds to play the role of the chubby, ill-fated marine Pvt. Pile.
