After hearing the news that MTV reality starlet Lauren Conrad's clothing line is on hold due to the economic times, MTV fashion stylist Alison Lang tells RadarOnline.com exclusively, "Lauren should never have come out with a line, or she should rethink it and come out with a line for Target, Kmart, or Walmart or something. She came out of nowhere, doesn't have the credibility, and people that watch the show can't afford that price point. Her fans are like 13 years old and can't afford a $200 Lauren Conrad dress."
Take a hint from Miley, dear, she hit it big time!
Alison continues, "Whitney Port is more credible, more stylish and she is coming out with a line also." Whitney, LC's former background pal on the MTV reality series The Hills now has her own new show on MTV, The City and a clothing line in the works. LC's reality empire is dwindling while her co-star's fame is growing. This situation, of sorts, must
surely thread LC's needle-- maybe all the way to Kmart! Cheap and chic is always in!
According to media reports, Conrad's rep said, "with everything going on in the economy and in her life, she wants to rework her line and offerings. She will make announcements soon."
The fashions in The Lauren Conrad Collection are cute, yet too pricey. No matter what happens to the clothing line or LC's questionable style, we still love her personality!
