Lindsay Lohan: Being a Tabloid Obsession Has “Hurt My Career”

Lindsay Lohan is usually not making headlines for her acting. A fact the actress is highly aware of.
“There’s not much I can do about the fact that I’ve become a kind of tabloid obsession,” Lohan tells Nylon Magazine. “Yes, the websites, the gossip pages, and all of that stuff have hear my career…but I’m glad everything happened the way it did.”
She later turns her attention to another one-person media storm: Britney Spears. “She’s marketed as an entertainer…Not necessarily as, like, and artist,” Lohan mused. “And I respect that about her, cause she doesn’t want to pretend.”

As for her future work goals, while she would love to make a life doing photo shoots (“...that’s fun for me. That’s not work.”), she’s currently in talks with Sean Penn on a project. One snag however is funnyman Seth Rogen. “Seth won’t call us back,” she lamented. “So call us back, Seth, if you’re reading this!”
