Katy Perry Grows Up
March 12 2009, Published 1:16 p.m. ET
Looking stunning in lingerie for an April feature for Esquire magazine, Katy Perry was her outspoken self, dishing about love, fame, and growing up.
"I aimed a little bit sexy with the hair for the shoot. I wanted to just grow up a little bit," she said. "I'll be twenty-five this year ."
The recently single Perry she broke up with long-time beau Travis McCoy from Gym Class Heroes at the end of last year still has a soft spot for musicians. "If a man could ride this roller coaster with me and come out alive, then I guess we 'd deserve each others company."
Alas, Perry isn 't hurrying to get back into a relationship (for now). "I dont really have the right energy to be with somebody right now," she says. "When I love somebody, I love somebody. Like, I want to marry them. I don ' t date around."
Now a bona-fide celebrity, the singer maintains that she doesn't try to court the attention offstage: "I don't ever do anything to try and bring it upon myself. There are ten thousand other restaurants besides Ivy. I'm not obsessed with getting my picture taken."

Fame has its perks though. One recently attained goal at the Grammys: "I always wanted to suspend from the ceiling in a twirling banana."
