Jennifer Hudson, the Oscar and Grammy winner whose career was launched by American Idol, is coming home.
Idol Finalists Happy To Cash In On Summer Tour
The singer/actress will tape a performance of a song from her Grammy winning self-titled CD Wednesday for an upcoming segment to be shown later, the AP reported, citing "a person close to the show who did not want his or her name used because the person was not authorized to speak to reporters."
It is her first appearance on the program (Hudson was a finalist on the show's third season) since the murders of her mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew last November in Chicago.
"She's coped internally. She's coped with her family," her label head, Clive Davis, told MTV news earlier this year. "I'm sure she's coped within her religion. I was there at the funeral. I think that she has... to dig down deep, because this has been an indescribable tragedy." (Photo: WENN)
