Jack Osbourne said depression stemming from mother Sharon's 2002 cancer diagnosis caused him, at one point, to contemplate killing himself.
"I started getting suicidal," Osbourne told In Touch. "I was just doing loads of drugs and drinking. I was miserable."
The television personality said that things came to a head after he disappeared during Easter weekend six years ago. After much soul searching -- and some encouragement from dear ol' dad (rocker Ozzy Osbourne) -- Osbourne said he knew it was time for a change.

He checked into a Malibu rehab facility and said he has replaced the carousing with healthier pastimes, such as kickboxing.
"A year passed, and then two, and then three, and now it's nearly six," he told the magazine.
"I'm just going to keep doing what I've been doing and hopefully, not drink," he said of future plans to keep his sobriety intact. "I don't ever want to come back to rehab again."
