Supermodel Gisele Bundchen worked to keep her February wedding to Tom Brady under wraps, but happily opened up about her vision for the future in a new interview.
"I want to have a big family," she told Harper's Bazaar. "My parents have been together for 36 years, and that is what I want. I am in that place. It's all good in that part of my life. It's one part of my life that I'm learning about every day."
Her relationship with Brady hasn't been just rainbows and butterflies. At the start of their romance, they were immediately embroiled in controversy when his ex Bridget Moynihan announced she was pregnant with his child. She admits, "I've been challenged a lot by it her relationship with Brady, but it's the most rewarding part." Bundchen has also bonded with Moynahan and Brady's son John Edward. "I love kids," she gushed. "It's amazing that I have the opportunity to hang out with my stepson all the time."
She also swooned over her quarterback husband. "Tom is a good guy," she continued. "He has a very pure heart. He's very naive, almost like a child. That is my favorite quality about him. One thing that I thought was so amazing when I first met him is that he is innocent. He sees the world with colored glasses."
One of the funnier bits of her conversation was when she remembered early criticism of her look from those in the industry -- especially one woman who told the then fourteen-year old that she had a big nose. Her father thankfully had a quick retort. "He said to me, 'Next time that happens, you tell the person that you have a big nose and a big personality to match.' Ha!"
Everyone can agree that Bundchen -- successful, gorgeous, and happy -- got the last laugh.
