Today I had French toast with turkey bacon for breakfast, Chicken and Mushroom Wrap with Side Caesar Salad for lunch, a fruit snack and filet mignon salad for dinner. Delicious.
While this sound likes one of those tacky diet ads you hear on television, this is actually one of the meals in a new fresh diet delivery program called Freshology that delivers food directly to your door every day. Prepared by top chefs, and made from some of the best ingredients you can buy, it’s like having a gourmet cook in the kitchen.
A-listers, such as Ricki Lake and JLo swear by the FreshLite and Get Slim food plan -- programs is specifically designed for the purpose of weight loss -- but there are a number of different plans such as Fresh Dining (the one we tried), Whole Family and Lifestyle. There’s even a menu called Fresh Mommy Nutrition which is all-natural nutritionally balanced meals for the new Mom.
Entourage star Debi Mazar signed up for Fresh Dining so she could lose some post-baby weight and and after 18 months dropped to pre-baby weight of 120 pounds. (With Fresh Dining you get a carb-controlled, five-meal-a-day delivery plan providing women with 1,200 to 1,400 calories from lean proteins and low-glycemic carbs.)
Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snack, and Dessert each day are delivered early every morning in a black cooler bag packed with gel ice packs. If you need to grab it as you run out the door to work and don’t have a place to refrigerate the meals, they will stay cool all day until time to microwave, though the company doesn’t recommend that.
What does it cost to eat like a gourmet every day? It ranges from $52.95 a day to $37 a day but there’s always promotions so you can try it out for a week.
