Swayze Takes Cancer Fight To Washington

On the same day RadarOnline.com posted exclusive video of Patrick Swayze smoking, we can also report that, ironically, Swayze is taking his cancer battle to Washington .
Swayze, who stars on A&E's freshman drama The Beast , is suffering from pancreatic cancer. Despite our cameras showing Swayze smoking recently, he's now calling on Congress to increase funding for research into the disease.
In a letter in the Washington Post, the 56-year-old told politicians to "stop talking... and do something about it."

In a letter to the Post, the actor said: "My message to our senators and representatives is simple - vote for the maximum funding to let the National Institutes of Health fight cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
"It's not only good for our nation's health, it is also good for our economic well-being."
