Gamers eagerly awaiting the upcoming Star Trek Online MMO -- a massively multiplayer online game --will be bummed to learn that most of the famous characters from the Star Trek universe will be boldly going nowhere in the game.
According to joystiq.com, producer Craig Zinkievich said that the game takes place "in the future where the majority of the known characters have passed on."
And -- oh yeah -- this saves anyone from having to pay an actor to use their likeness.
