Bruce Springsteen calls his deal with Wal-Mart "a mistake."
Springsteen gave the retail giant sole rights to sell his latest greatest hits CD, which hit Wal-Mart shelves mid-January.
Fans have criticized Springsteen, an outspoken advocate of worker's rights, for dealing with Wal-Mart, which has been scrutinized for its labor methods.
Springsteen told press he "dropped the ball on it."
"It was a mistake. Our batting average is usually very good, but we missed that one. Fans will call you on that stuff, as it should be."
