(Photo: Splash News Online) Actor Jeremy Piven, who dropped out of David Mamet's Broadway play Speed the Plow in December, will attend a hearing at Actor's Equity Association on a grievance filed by the show's producers.
According to The Washington Post, both sides will explain their positions to the grievance committee which is comprised of 5 actors actors and 5 producers.
The 43 year-old Piven left the play less than two months after it opened on the recommendation of his doctor, who said the actor was "seriously ill (and) unable to fulfill his contractual obligation."
The reason for his illness, we were told, was mercury poisoning from eating too much sushi.
