Saturday Night Live has never played it safe, and cast member Keenan Thompson says there's no reason to start now.
Keenan was asked by Usmagazine.com if embattled R&B singer Chris Brown would be ever asked to perform on SNL.
"It's not up to me, but I'm sure we would if he had another hit single. We don't care about scandal. We just care about what brings us ratings!"
Thompson also called the Brown/Rihanna saga "an unfortunate situation."

He added: "I don't know the whole story, but I know how women can get when you get a text message from another female, so I'm just saying, you have to learn that you can't put your hands on a female."
Thompson says he has met the 19-year old singer, but doesn't know him well.
"He's a big dude," Thompson tells Us. "He's not a little dude."
