Weepy 28 year-old Tatiana Del Toro finally has a reason to cry: the San Juan, Puerto Rico, native was not one of the American Idol semifinalists asked to continue.
The first three finalists of season eight are 27 year-old single mother Alexis Grace from Memphis, Tennessee; 27 year-old Texas oil rig worker Michael Sarver; and 28 year-old Danny Gokey, a church music director from Milwaukee.
Gokey had dazzled Tuesday with his take on Mariah Carey's "Hero." Grace won America's heart and votes with Aretha Franklin's "Never Loved a Man," and Sarver sang Gavin Degraw's "I Don't Wanna Be."

Next week, a dozen more semifinalists will compete for three spots in the competition's top 12.
Still, Del Toro and the others get another chance when the first nine finalists are selected and the judges pick the last three finalists after a wild card show March 5.
