Hudson The Big Winner Last Night

Looking slim, poised, and radiant, Jennifer Hudson returned to the public spotlight with a stirring rendition of "The Star Spangled Banner" before the Super Bowl.

It was her first performance since her mother, brother, and nephew were murdered in October.

Dressed in a white top with black pants and a sharp black jacket, the 27 year-old singer paused to take a deep breath before she began. For 2 minutes, 13 seconds she held listeners in her hand and, emotionally, the nation was with her as she fist-pumped the air at the finale.

Hudson will perform next at the Grammy Awards on February 8.
