Former Miss America host Gary Collins was arrested this weekend on suspicion of DUI and RadarOnline.com has now learned that Collins was so out of it he told cops on the scene that he thought he was in the San Fernando Valley!
No, Gary, actually you were hours north of there, near Montecito, in Summerland, which is just south of Santa Barbara, and were booked into Santa Barbara County Jail!
That's roughly 100 miles from the Valley, but Collins was guaranteed a soft bed to sleep it off once he bonded out on the $25,000 bail. He was stopped driving erratically on Lillie Avenue at Olive Street in a motor-home! And get this, he'd just purchased it that day!
RadarOnline.com also hears that Collins crossed a double line and nearly hit an oncoming police car before his arrest.
And surprise...failed the field sobriety tests.
