Cops Served Search Warrant On Arkin Home

Santa Barbara police served a search warrant on the home of TV star Adam Arkin's wife, they said in a press release today. RadarOnline.com reported exclusively yesterday that Phyllis Lyons, Adam's wife, was arrested and accused of shoplifting a pair of earrings. Phyllis is also a TV actress who has appeared on shows including House, Life and ER. Here is the release from the Santa Barbara Sherrif's department:

On Friday, January 30, 2009 employees at a clothing and accessory store on the 500-block of San Ysidro Road in Montecito discovered a set of earrings valued at $688 was missing from a display rack.

A review of store surveillance tape revealed that on the preceding day (1/29/09) a customer had stolen the earrings. One of the employees recognized the woman as a frequent customer.

Detectives with the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department were notified and on Thursday, February 5, 2009 served an arrest and search warrant on the home of Phyllis Lyons (DOB 8/20/60) in Studio City, Ca.

Ms. Lyons was cooperative and returned the earrings. No search of the home was conducted. Ms. Lyons was booked at the North Hollywood Police Station on a charge of Grand Theft with bail set at $20,000.
