(Photo: Splash Photo Agency) With the New Year upon us, Christina Applegate has a new outlook on life, and she's feeling really good about it.
Applegate was diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2008 and had to undergo a double mastectomy. She's now 100% cancer free and is talking about her battle to Hollyscoop.
"Once I had my surgery that was all taken care of," Christina told Hollyscoop exclusively at the TV Academy Presents an Evening with Samantha Who? event.
She added, "The recovery from my surgery was a long taxing process and a difficult one in a lot of different ways, but I feel really good. I'm kind of adapting to my new body."
Christiana also said she feels a kinship with fellow actor Patrick Swayze who's battling pancreatic cancer.
Although the two actors don't know each other personally, Christina insists
they know each other's soul. "I don't know him, but he knows me, and we know
