Another Slumdog Victory

As the awards season continues, Slumdog Millionaire added the top honor from the Directors Guild of America to its sack of trophies.
Danny Boyle won the award over David Fincher (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), Gus Van Sant (Milk), Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight) and Ron Howard (Frost/Nixon).
The film also won at the Screen Actors Guild ceremony and Golden Globes. Next up: the Oscars.
Other winners at last night's ceremony included Ari Folman for his animated documentary Waltz With Bashir, Jay Roach for the HBO made-for-TV flick Recount, Paul Feig who nabbed best TV comedy director for The Office episode "Dinner Party", and Dan Attias who won best director of a dramatic TV episode for "Transitions" episode of The Wire.
