(Photo: Splash News Online) Proving that she is every inch the international phenom, Brit singer Amy Winehouse has given up on an appeal for a drug bust in Norway.
In October, 2007, Winehouse and then hubby Blake Fielder-Civil were arrested while on a concert tour of Bergen and charged with possessing 1/4 ounce of pot. They spent the night in jail and were released after paying a $428 fine.
The 25 year-old singer appealed, claiming through attorneys that Norwegian cops made procedural errors.
Without explanation, her local lawyer Ole Kvelstad said, "After a careful review of the whole matter, they decided to drop the appeal."
As a result, prosecutor Rudolf Christoffersen says the two don't have to return to court. It also means, he said, "the fines stand."
