Showtime's lesbian drama The L Word begins its final season on Sunday, but that doesn't mean viewers will lose touch with all their favorite drama queens.
According to Showtime exec Robert Greenblatt, a spinoff is in active development.
"One of the characters from The L Word actually goes to prison," he told ET. "The show then goes to prison with a largely new cast. It is not only lesbian characters; it is a big group of characters."
Though he remained vague, he did say that bisexual reporter Alice Pieszecki (played by Leisha Hailey) will continue in that role, and that the first episode has 3 guest stars from the original series: Melissa Leo, Famke Janssen, and Laurie Metcalf.
