(Photo: Splash News Online) Brandon Routh, who avoided stardom like Kryptonite with the disappointing grosses of Superman Returns, takes another shot at the comic book realm with his co-starring role in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.
The film is based on the Oni Press graphic novels by Bryan Lee O'Malley about Scott Pilgrim who can only win the affection of a girl by defeating her 7 former boyfriends in various ways.
Michael Cera (Superbad) plays Scott and Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Live Free or Die Hard) is his inamorata. Routh plays one of the boyfriends. Chris Evans has been cast as another.
The flick shoots in Toronto later this winter.
