Prince Of Persia: From Game To Glam

Known for blockbusters like Armageddon, National Treasure, and Pirates of the Caribbean -- which have the flash and substance of a videogame -- producer Jerry Bruckheimer is finally making a movie FROM a videogame.
The 63 year-old king of the blockbusters is producing a film version of the action/adventure game Prince of Persia. The film, like the game, is about a hero who rescues a princess from an evil ruler. Jake Gyllenhaal, stars as the heroic Prince Dastan.
Always a master of marketing, Bruckheimer is actually promoting Prince of Persia in his new film, Confessions of a Shopaholic. A poster for the new flick is displayed in Times Square during one scene.
"It's funny because I was watching the movie and we had ads for other films and I said, 'Why don't we put our own movies in here,'" he says. "It's kind of silly to promote someone else's movies."
