Jermaine Dupri Out

Atlanta rapper and do-it-all Jermaine Dupri has departed as prez of Island Records Urban Music department.
Exact reasons for Dupri's early dismissal have not been disclosed.
But after just 2 years as division prez, Dupri is better known for his current "underperformers," like girlfriend Janet Jackson whose Discipline sold a disappointing 420,000 copies, than his previous successes (he was child rapper Bow Wow's guru).

The surprising move also leaves Tag Records up in the air, an Island Def Jam and Procter & Gamble's Tag brand hip-hop label, which has produced only 1 single, On a Mission by Q Da Kid.
The song sold only 3,000 downloads.
Wonder if that had anything to do with his exit?
