A judge in Burbank, California gave the 29 year-old actress a 3-year restraining order against David Nolte, whom Hewitt insists sold his Colorado home and moved to L.A. to be closer to her.
In addition, Nolte allegedly sent dozens of letters reportedly describing violent sexual fantasies about the star of the CBS series The Ghost Whisperer.

Hewitt claimed that she became even more frightened when Nolte was seen at her mother's home in late December.
Nolte has had no public response to the order.
