Hats Off To Lady Soul

Despite Aretha Franklin's memorable "My Country, 'Tis Of Thee" at President Obama's inauguration, Aretha's hat really stole the show!
Designed by Detroit-based hat maker Luke Song, the now popular bow-tied, Swarovski crystal church hat is in such high demand that milliner Song has actually run out of materials!
"I'd thought I would just get a mention in the local newspaper, but I never imagined this," says the Parsons grad.
"This is mind-boggling."
Song believes customers want their own version because "it's a part of history."
No newcomer to the scene, Song's hats have been worn by gospel singers from the Winans to the Clark Sisters, and he has custom-made Aretha's hats for nearly 20 years.
For the inauguration, Ms. Franklin requested the hat match her gray coat and gloves. It took Song 2 days to make.
Unfortunately, fans will have to wait at least a month to get one.
