Actors For Elephants

LA loves their animals. They just don't know how to take care of them.

Protesters have gathered at Los Angeles City Hall opposing the expansion of the less than stellar elephant exhibit at the LA Zoo.

The proposed $40 million exhibit renovation would import another elephant, Ruby, to keep 21-year old resident pachyderm Billy company.

Obviously, this costly project has wrinkled a few noses.

PETA is also protesting its heart out against the likes of rock star Slash, who is pro-construction.

Meanwhile, The Price is Right's Bob Barker has raised $300,000 to help put Billy and Ruby into a sanctuary and halt the construction at the LA Zoo.

Golly, so much for peanuts!
