Toni Braxton Removes Tumor

Toni Braxton explained why she didn't dance on the finale of Dancing With the Stars last month. A week earlier, she had a benign tumor removed from her breast.
The 41-year-old singer said she was aware of the tumor before going on the show, and scheduled the operation after being cut out from the competition on Oct. 20.
"Getting the boot on the show was actually a blessing in disguise for me," she said. "My grandmother on my dad's side died of breast cancer, and I have aunts on both sides that have breast cancer."
Braxton is still scheduled to appear on the Dancing With the Stars tour on Dec. 17, despite the recent surgery.
