An Oak Park, Michigan, family whose home was featured on TV's Extreme Makeover may lose it to foreclosure.
Larry Vardon and his wife Judy got into debt due to medical care for their 16 year-old son, Lance who is blind and autistic. Insurance didn't cover his $20,000 bills.
The Vardons also got clobbered when their adjustable mortgage rate jumped to 11 percent.
And, ironically, their property taxes leaped by $1,000 when the house got its redo.
