Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman aren't exactly wowing audiences in Australia with their new, nearly 3-hour film Australia.
The biggest movie ever made 'Down Under' opened with a solid but lower-than-hoped $4.9 million on its opening weekend.
"There's a fine line between 'promotion' and 'overkill," an exec with 20th Century Fox told RADAR. "The problem is the movie was so hyped down there that everyone feels like they've seen it already. Or they've seen enough to know they don't want to see the rest."
The pic has likewise done just okay business in the U.S. since it's release last week.
