MSNBC Pundit Eyes Senate

MSNBC political pundit Chris Matthews is reportedly contemplating a Democratic run for the U.S. Senate in 2010.
According to the Patriot-News of Harrisburg, Matthews met state party leaders in Washington to talk about running against Republican Sen. Arlen Specter in the next election.
However, according to party official Mary Isenhour, Matthews is still uncertain.
The Philadelphia-born host of MSNBC's Hardball failed in his run for a Pennsylvania congressional seat in 1974.
Then again, his MSNBC contract expires in June and Specter - who will be 80 - will have been an incumbent for 30 years. Sounds like a recipe for a rumble!
