(Photo: Splash News Online) Actress Nicole Kidman offended the Aboriginal people by playing a didgeridoo, a wind instrument of the northern Australians, on the German TV show Wetten, Dass...?
According to Aboriginal custom, it is forbidden for women to play the instrument because it supposedly makes them infertile.
"I presume she doesn't know, otherwise she wouldn't be playing it," said Allen Madden of Sydney's Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Council. "But I would have thought the women on that set would have told her."

Award-winning Aboriginal actor and screenwriter Richard Green was also angered by the performance, insisting that Kidman was 'guaranteed' to become infertile.
"It bastardizes our culture," said Green. "I will guarantee she has no more children. It's not meant to be played by women as it will make them barren."
