(Photo: Splash News Online) Action star Harrison Ford is breaking character by playing an old fashioned TV anchor in Morning Glory, which centers around a morning talk show.
Ford's character quits his job when the evening newscast becomes too gossipy, and ends up being paired with a rival in a new talk show.
Rachel McAdams is in talks to costar. She is currently shooting Sherlock Holmes for Guy Ritchie.
Roger Michell, who made the successful and delightful Notting Hill, will direct Morning Glory. The script is by Aline Brosh McKenna, who wrote The Devil Wears Prada.
The 66-year-old Ford hasn't done a comedy since Sabrina in 1995. Unless you count the last Indiana Jones film.
