(Photo: Splash News Online) Tom Hanks is excited. He's excited that Barack Obama is President-Elect. He's excited that someone he voted for won.

"That hasn't happened most of my life," he said. (So...did he vote for the elder George Bush and Bob Dole?)

Anyway, the 52 year-old is so excited he plans to attend the inauguration.

"I'll sit on the Lincoln steps and just watch it from the distance on a Jumbotron," he said.

Yeah, like that'll happen.

Hanks did a MySpace video last May supporting Obama, who he lauded for his "integrity and the inspiration to unify us, as did FDR and Harry Truman and John F. Kennedy and even Ronald Reagan when they ran for the job."

Why do we have a feeling he'll be in the VIP section right next to Oprah?
