Did Gift Trigger Hudson Murders?

Police are reporting that a mistaken impression may have been responsible for the deaths of Jennifer Hudson's family.
On Oct. 23 Hudson's sister Julia had a small party at her home to celebrate turning 31. According to the police, Julia's estranged husband William Balfour arrived the next morning and saw a gift that he assumed came from another man.
This caused the burst of jealousy that allegedly prompted Balfour to shoot Julia's mother, Darnell Donerson, her son Julian King, and Jennifer's brother Jason.

Balfour's lawyer Joshua Kutnick believes that, the gift aside, Balfour's chaotic relationship with Julia Hudson prejudices the case against his client.
"We are extremely confident that once all of the evidence has come to light and has been tested by our vigorous analysis of the case, that William will be found not guilty," Kutnick said.
