Charlize Theron Deemed 'Messenger Of Peace'

Theron is the 10th artist in 10 years to receive the title, joining fellow actors George Clooney and Michael Douglas in raising awareness for world peace.
The Academy Award-winning actress and activist founded The Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project, in partnership with the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF).

Outreach focuses on eliminating violence towards women while creating a safer and healthier life for women and children in poverty.
Theron has filmed a series of public service announcements in support of the Cape Town Rape Crisis Center, discouraging any tolerance for rape or domestic violence.
