Sports superagent Leigh Steinberg, who was one of the inspirations for the 1996 Tom Cruise film Jerry Maguire, has been arrested in Newport Beach, California. The arrest was on suspicion of being drunk in public.
Lt. Bill Hartford says the 59 year old was taken into custody after they received a call about an individual "screaming and attempting to climb a hill" above the Newport Auto Center.
He adds that a "strong odor" of alcohol was detected, in addition to slurred speech.
